Breaking The Law

I’m sure we all at some point broke the law , but in small amounts that’s why we are not criminals.. I’ll be specific.
Its not a secret that driving in Jordan is like wrestling , there are rules but if you obey them your ass will be kicked by other wrestlers (Drivers).. But that’s not my point.

Today I got a ticket for parking in a wrong way , and I deserved it and I knew that I will get one because I parked in front of the policeman , but I had to.. But that’s not my point.

Right after I got that ticket , I saw a police car from the traffic department doing a U-turn and above that U-turn there was a sign الأعور بشوفها just like this one:
UTurnsign
You see my point? I got a ticket for breaking the law which is fair, and a police car would just break the law in front of all people and do nothing about it? Btw doing a U-turn from a no U-turn sign is way more dangerous than parking in a wrong way.

My point is that there should be NO ONE above the law even policemen , at least not the traffic department for god’s sake !!!!!

Dropping Out Of School

Today , We ordered some new trees so we can plant in my house , so that guy came and gave us the trees but he brought his صبي  and صبي doesn’t mean his child , no it means his assistance who is a boy about 13-14 years old max. and it was school time.

I saw a lot like this boy in the industrial areas working very hard for a small amount of money , and it makes me sad every single time i see one of them.

What makes me sad and angry is that they dropped out of school and started working real hard without choosing this life-style , either they wanted to help their families or he/she wasn’t given a chance to study.. in other words he/she did NOT choose this so why he/she should pay the price?

The government should do its best to get all these kids to school and make them learn , at least make them choose whether to study or not , not just let pay the price for their parent’s ignorance.

I’m not saying that they should go to school and that’s it , we wont solve the problem , they worked because they are in desperate need , so we should let them study and at the same time give them money or provide a way to make them earn money while studying without working hard.. I don’t know but we should do something.

There should be an initiative for that and I’m telling you that I will be the first one to help.

Nice Things .. Wrong Place

Yesterday I went to check out a plantation, but it was unlike any other plantation, it didn’t only contain trees and a small house , this one had trees , a house , a cavern that contained a bit of all the Arabic countries culture , a cafeteria , a playground for kids and much more.

Now all these things are nice things BUT they are in the wrong place , Why? ok let me get you into details.

That farm is called “ Lebnan Plantation“ which is a nice name to be honest , and its located in ( البقعة ) or (عين الباشا) , and its owner is an ambitious young man who knew everything about farming.

That cavern I told you about is nice , kind of small but its not finished yet , it suppose to attract tourists and give them an idea about the Arabic culture , but is البقعة a tourist place?

Take a look:

Now for the trees , I love trees all kind of them but when you have too much tress in a small area .. that’s bad. Which is exactly the case there , so many different trees there that you can walk between them without getting scratched or getting dirt all over you clothes and body. Not to mention all the trash between trees.

This land goes for 16 acres.

Future plans for this project:

It will be converted to a restaurant and a café , so the whole project will contain : A cavern that contained a bit of all the Arabic countries culture , a cafeteria , a playground for kids , restaurant and café , old Bedouin-like tents that people could enjoy.

I’m telling if this is to succeed its only because the owner is doing this project not because he wants to be rich or something but only to do something that will make him proud and show tourist that we have culture.

Things To Hate Me For

No matter how many times I think of myself as a perfect guy I still face some habits of me that are bad but I can’t stop doing them .. Here are some of them :

  • I don’t pick up my phone.
  • You will reach a dead-end when we talk in politics.
  • You can’t convince me that I am wrong .. even if I was.
  • I hate most of the people (المحبة من الله)
  • These days I hate social media EXPERTS and entrepreneurs.

If you know me and you think that there is something not listed above don’t be shy and share it with me.

What do I think of TEDxRamallah..

TEDxRamallah
First of all , for all of you who didn’t hear of TEDxRamallah , get to know it : www.tedxramallah.com .
Second , If you missed it then you really missed A LOT , even if you participated in other TEDx events , because this one is truly different .. and here’s why:
  1. It was the first TEDx event ever to be conducted in 22 cities at the same time , and the speakers were in 3 countries.
  2. TED is all about “Ideas worth spreading” , well in TEDxRamallah it was more like “Stories worth spreading”.
  3. The speakers were chosen carefully , they were Businessmen/Businesswomen, Writers, Artists, Academics, Engineers.. etc. but the common thing between them was “PALESTINE” , they all were Palestinians or at least did something HUGE for Palestine.
  4. TEDxRamallah was trending on Twitter , along with 5 speakers names at the same time .. in other words at that time we conquered Twitter Trending List.
  5. TEDxRamallah team was one of a kind , we all worked together like we’ve known each other for years , which reflected on the audience because you could see a smile wherever you look.
Well, if you wasn’t there then yes you have the right to kill yourself … but wait we might be giving you another chance , because TEDxRamallah will be held again next year enshallah , it might as well be TEDxPalestine , who knows ! but I can promise that this kind of events wont stop , and we will keep working for Palestine till the last breath we take.
Have a look at some of the pictures there here thanks to my friend Mohammad.
